In school

In school we are writing an opinion article. I am writing about if Las Vegas should have a NHL team (Which they shouldn't 😉). Others are writing about things like if there should be dog fights, if it should be allowed to drive at the age of 15 etc. What we have to do to complete the work is: we have to write an introduction paragraph ( to state our opinion and hook the reader write three paragraphs for three different reasons.and then we write a conclusion paragraph. Also what I do in school is that I have a journal which in it I get to write about ANYTHING in french (1 page long). This exercise helps me get better at french grammar and making sense in my words). With these things that my class and I do I have realized that I am very lucky to be in this school.

An awesome thing about my classroom this year is that we have SO many different sitting options  we have to share. We have 6 yoga balls, a bean bag chair, a moon chair about 20 stools, a stand up table, a chair with pillows on it, yoga mats, fuzzy little chairs that can hold books in them, a white board table and 4 long stools The best thing is that we do not have assigned seats so we get to sit anywhere we want!Thank you Ms. Porcari!!

Should phone be allowed in school?

“Pss, let me use your phone to get the answer to this question.” Are now commun words for many grades in a high school,so obviously it should not be allowed to bring phones to school. My reasons include: the fact that kids can use them to cheat on tests. The fact that phones are not good for our eyes. And the fact that in case of an emergency, we can use the office phone! These reasons will prove that cell phones should not be allowed in school!!

In school we are learning about opinion writing and today we read an article about if phones should be allowed in school and i think that phones should not be allowed because usually high schools provide with the technology that you would need for educational purposes.
Should phone be allowed in school?

“Pss, let me use your phone to get the answer to this question.” Are now commun words for many grades in a high school,so obviously it should not be allowed to bring phones to school. Some parents say that they want their children to have phones on them because they would like their children to call them if there is an emergency but we can just call from the office of the school!Kids spend a lot of time on their phones at home and that is bad for their eyes so atleast they can get an 8 hour break for their eyes. Phones are very small so they are very easy to hide and use to cheat on tests, If kids did not have phones, they would have to get up, get a laptop, and by that time the teacher will see them trying to cheat, Tests are used to see what the kids know not what the phone knows. So now you know, with only 3 examples it is obvious that kids should not be bringing phones to school.

Friend or fake

This short skit represents the dangers of  accepting follow requests from people you don't know.If you don't pay attention to the people that are following you you can get bullied or give personal information.{address, Phone number etc.} We tried to give the message of being careful online because you don't want some creepy person bullying you or knowing where you live.

Advice for the grade 4 students

                        Advice for grade 4

The advice that I have for the grade 4 students is that in grade 5 you have many tests and projects so you have to: listen when the teacher is talking, raise your hand if you have a question, study for your tests really hard, do not wait for the last day to do your work, always be organized, do not put your sports teams or hobbies in front of school and most importantly, always believe that you can do it.
